Saturday 1st August 2020
As you will know the wearing of face coverings in shops became mandatory a week or so ago and we updated our policy to fall somewhere in line with that. However last night there was an update from the Government that specifically affects us:
As of 8th August 2020 face coverings MUST be worn in:
“nail, beauty, hair salons and barbers – other than where necessary to remove for treatments. Also massage parlours.”

8th August is when this new rule is enforceable, but the tone of guidance suggests it would be best to introduce this new rule as soon as possible, so we are making that change to our salon rules now. That way we will be fully compliant, and all our clients comfortable, by the time the 8th August comes around.
So with immediate effect:
-
Face coverings must be worn at all times throughout the salon
-
If your treatment requires it, you can remove your face covering for that treatment only, so long as your stylist / therapist is behind a visor or screen.
-
Follow the guidance for removal of your face covering, ie do not touch the front of the covering, and store safely.
-
Keep your face covering with you, DO NOT place it on a surface in the salon.
-
Sanitise your hands after touching your face covering.
Published rules within the salon will be updated as soon as possible.
We hope you all understand the reasons for the new rules and follow them respectfully as we will all have to now as we go about our daily lives. It is for the protection of the staff at Revive that we ask you to respect these rules but also understand that are some circumstances that wearing of face coverings is not possible for a very few people. We respect and support that too if that is the case for you.
