Time To Prepare … Just In Case …

As you well know our hair salon has been open for a week now and those who have been in will be familiar now with the new rules and procedures. The guidance was clear for hair salons – so long as the stylist was wearing a full face visor it was not essential for either the stylist or the customer to wear a face covering.

This may be about to change and you will need to be ready, just in case …

With Scotland about to enforce face coverings in shops, and the mounting pressure for the Government to do the same here, we are fully expecting face coverings to become mandatory in shops very soon. And these are “face coverings” and not surgical masks – as surgical masks are disposable and single use, bad for the environment and will be required by the health professionals.

We published this guide earlier regarding making home made face coverings, but if you’ve got appointments booked it will be worth a revisit before you come in, just in case new rules have come into play that we will need to enforce.

So time to get busy folks …

So if you haven’t already now might be a good time to get your face covering ready. They don’t have to be surgical, filtered or disposable. They can be made out of any old tee shirts or tea cloths, so you can be super creative. Don’t forget to make at least 2 (wash one, wear one) and if you are really enthusiastic how about making some spares that we can offer to those of our clients without the means or the internet?

If you are able to make spares please drop them in a bag or envelope through our letterbox.

Loads of advice available on the internet to make these … here’s just a few …
